Who is responsible for your data?
Padel Player (padelplayer.ie) is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can reach us at hello@padelplayer.ie.
What personal data do we collect?
When you browse. Like almost every website, our hosting provider records standard server logs, which can include your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. These are used to keep the site secure and working, and are kept for a limited period.
When you email us or use our contact form. We keep your name, email address and message so we can reply, and delete them once they are no longer needed. The contact form also records your IP address to help block spam.
When you leave a comment, if comments are open on a page, WordPress stores the name, email address and comment you submit, along with your IP address, to help prevent spam.
We do not run user accounts, newsletters or advertising networks on this site. If we add analytics or a newsletter in future, we will update this page before we do.
How do cookies work here?
The site may use a small number of technical cookies needed to deliver pages and keep them fast. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies of our own.
When you click a product link and land on a retailer's website, that retailer may set its own cookies, for example so it can credit the referral to us. Those cookies are governed by the retailer's own privacy and cookie policies, so please check them on their site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
Why do we process your data?
We rely on our legitimate interests to run a secure, working website and to answer messages you send us. Where the law requires your consent, such as for non-essential cookies, we will ask for it first.
Who else sees it?
Only the service providers we need to run the site, such as our hosting provider, who process data on our behalf. We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.
What are your rights?
Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, ask us to delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive a copy in a portable format. Email hello@padelplayer.ie and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can raise it with the Data Protection Commission, Ireland's data protection regulator. The DPC recommends contacting the organisation first, so please give us the chance to fix it.
When does this page change?
We will update this page when the way we handle data changes, and change the date at the top. See also the ground rules for using this site.
